published on the Recent Sightings
page. Most of the species listed are migrants and vagrants, but other records of interest are also included.

| Birds highlighted in RED denote official rarities. Species in BLUE are endemic species. Species in GREEN are introduced species or regular indiginous breeding species in Hawai'i. Species in light BLUE are non-avian species seen at sea. Italics denotes escaped species not currently established. All records are unsubstantiated and so no responsibility is taken for incorrect or inaccurate reports. |

All reports recieved by Birding Hawaii will be passed on to the relevent parties, so please include the following with all reports: Species name, number, sex/age, location as well as your details and any other relevent details of the sighting. As well as sending reports to Birding Hawaii records are also welcomed for the Hawai'i Bird Record (in Hawai'i) and possible inclusion in North American Birds which publishes records of birds in North America. In both instances the records are collated and become part of the permanent record of those birds recorded in Hawai'i. Reports should be Sent to: Robert Pyle or Peter Donaldson |
